LONWORKS is free topology Network where all the connected units has their own specific network address. The LONWORKS products are of two different types, as transparent repeaters or as routers which can be configured with tools like LonBuilder or LonMaker. All LONWORKS products has a 78kbit/s TP/FP interface to the LONWORKS and a fiber optic interface for the line. The adapters and Routers can be used in point to point, in ring or in multidrop applications.
